Identity Consult’s North West office has expanded its education client base to include Edge Hill University, St Helen’s College and Salford City College.

The first new commission is providing Project Management and Employer’s Agent services for Edge Hill University’s Technology Hub(£10m) and student residences (£7m).

The Edge Hill Technology Hub will create new and refurbished, high quality space for teaching, learning, student employability, enterprise and knowledge exchange activities.

The facility will support expansion in Digital Creative and Food Science (Biotechnology), to include bioinformatics, product design and prototyping. It will also include a Knowledge Exchange, a CAVE, a Food Science facility and an Enterprise Hatchery.

Edge Hill University’s Phase 11 of the Student Residences will provide circa 150 high quality en-suite bedrooms, within a cluster flat development adjacent to the main entrance of the university.

The completion of the latest phase of residences builds on the success of previous award-winning phases, which have consistently been completed on programme with exceptionally short design and construction periods. This allowed greater income through earlier rental of residential accommodation and an acceleration of the development programme.

David Oldham, Director of Edge Hill University’s Capital Developments said: “I would not hesitate to recommend Identity Consult as a provider of Project Management and Employer’s Agent services. Their ability to foster a sense of teamwork and motivate our professional team of consultants, contractors and sub-contractors, allied with their strategic focus and can do attitude, means they are a key factor in the successful delivery of the university’s Capital Programme.”
