History

Aimée joined Identity Consult in July 2022 after having worked as a construction project manager,  for Capita across their UK offices. Aimée has a BA Hons in Architecture and an MSc in Construction Project Management from Liverpool John Moores University.

Aimée is working towards becoming a member of the Association for Project Management.

Personal

Aimée has a passion for her family, seeing the world and raising money for her chosen charities The MND Association and Alder Hey Children’s charity.

Akintayo is a graduate project manager currently involved in commercial and healthcare projects at Identity Consult. Examples of some of the projects Akintayo is currently working on are; ED plaza and Burnley general hospital.

History

Akintayo’s background includes a bachelor’s degree in Architecture obtained at Obafemi Awolowo University, Nigeria, where he worked on the construction of the following projects; 10 floors mixed-use development in Lagos Nigeria, Design and construction of a Skill Acquisition Centre in Osun-state, and Renovation / Landscaping of Osogbo city stadium. Akintayo acquired a Master’s degree in Construction project management at the University of the West of England. Akintayo has acquired lots of experience in the UK by working on projects which adhere to United Kingdom standards both in construction and management.

Akintayo is a student member of the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) and is currently working towards gaining professional membership.

Personal

Akintayo enjoys both playing and watching football as well as listening to music and visiting new places.

Chris has a wealth of experience as both a Cost Consultant and Employer’s Agent, working across a variety of sectors including residential, retail, leisure and hospitality. He has delivered  a number of high profile flagship schemes and in addition low cost, high volume programmes of work ranging from £50,000 to £40m.

Chris has extensive experience working in both the public and private sectors and is currently delivering a number of schemes for Local Authority and Registered Provider clients, splitting his time between our Preston and Salford offices.

History

Chris joined Identity Consult in August 2021. He has over 10 years worth of experience working for a mixture of both medium and large multi disciplinary consultancies. He has worked with a number of blue chip clients across the UK and Ireland.

Personal

In his spare time, Chris enjoys keeping fit and spending time with his family and friends.

Faizal recently joined Identity Consult and will be supporting the senior Cost Consultant & Employers Agent team. He will be assisting in collating project information and providing cost information as projects develop.

History

Faizal joined Identity Consult in March 2021 after working at Carpenter Build in Liverpool as a Procurement Officer. Faizal graduated in 2010 from the University of Central Lancashire with a BSc Hon in Quantity Surveying and Commercial Management and has a MSc degree in Construction Project Management.

Faizal is working towards becoming a fully chartered member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors.

Personal

In his personal time, Faizal enjoys socialising with friends and family, watching sports and travelling to hot destinations.

Gary is an experienced Cost Consultant, Employer’s Agent & Project Manager working across a variety of sectors within the built environment. He is inspired by and enjoys the challenge of working on complex projects and to help his clients create the buildings and environments they desire. He also places a strong emphasis on the social impact of project delivery and takes pride in the positive impact our projects have on individuals and their communities. Gary’s expertise extends to timber frame construction and aligned with his extensive knowledge and understanding of this method of construction, Gary can identify the benefits as well as the risks of delivering with this method and can identify key cost implications early.

History

Gary joined Identity Consult in August 2019 after 10 years working with a reputable timber frame specialist delivering bespoke structural frames across a range of project scales and sectors.

Huzaifa has extensive knowledge and experience on projects from inception to completion in respect of various contracts within both the public and private sector. Huzaifa is conversant with the JCT and NEC suite of Contracts and also has experience acting as Employers’ Agent and Contract Administrator. Huzaifa has experience in new build developments, extensions and refurbishment projects within a number of sectors, with project values ranging from £200,000 to £40M.

History

Huzaifa graduated in 2012 from the University of Central Lancashire with a BSc Hons in Quantity Surveying and Commercial Management. Huzaifa joined Identity Consult in June 2016 from a national multi-disciplinary consultancy where he worked as a Quantity Surveyor.

Personal

Outside of work Huzaifa enjoys spending time with his family and friends. He enjoys watching and playing sports, football in particular and is an avid Manchester United fan. Huzaifa also enjoys holidays to hot destinations, where the weather makes up for the cold rainy days at home.

Jack joined Identity Consult in November 2021 as a Business Administrative Assistant on an Apprenticeship, since gaining his Level 3 qualification. Jack is looking to add to his qualifications and experience acting as the Preston Office Manager and also working with the Project Management team to further develop his skillset.

History

Jack has had a large construction background from completing his Level 3 Diploma in Plumbing and Heating at Preston College, to then gaining experience in drainage surveying. Jack then completed his Level 3 Business Administration Apprenticeship at Preston College with Identity Consult.

Personal

Jack has a massive passion for football as he has been watching Bolton Wanderers since he was 6 years old, Jack also likes to go out and play football. He has also travelled to multiple different countries throughout Europe. Jack is enjoying the rewards & challenges of being a first-time father.

Matthew is a Director of Identity Consult and heads up the North West office in Preston. He manages multiple projects across various sectors providing support and advice on Stakeholder Management, PFI/PPP projects, Contract Administration, Programming and Risk Management. Matthew has a particular commitment to education and improving outcomes for young people, carrying out the role of Chair of Governors at a primary school in Merseyside.

History

Prior to joining Identity Consult, Matthew was Regional Education Sector Leader within Turner & Townsend’s North West office and a multi-award winning Project Manager, winning the APM Project Manager of the Year award in 2010 and RICS North West Project of the Year in 2014. Matthew has over 15 years experience and has successfully delivered projects across a wide range of sectors including Education, Local Government, Affordable Housing, Health, Regeneration and Heritage. Previously he has led the redevelopment of Liverpool Central Library (£50m), Edge Hill University’s capital programme (£80m) and the redevelopment of the University of Manchester’s Fallowfield campus (£200m).

Michelle’s promotion to the role of Director of People & Social Value was a result of her adept leadership in managing Human Resources requirements across the business as well as her passion for helping to deliver social value and making a positive impact in the communities in which we work.  Michelle has subsequently shifted her focus away from the day-to-day business support functions at Identity Consult. With over 10 years of HR experience, Michelle is focused on talent acquisition, retention and motivation solutions that will help keep our most valuable assets – our team.  She is dedicated to creating cultures that empower and motivate employees to realise their full potential and bring their best to the job. Michelle is now a chartered member of CIPD.

History

Michelle joined Identity Consult in September 2013 as Office Manager.  She previously worked for Enterprise plc having over 20 years’ experience in the construction industry.

Personal

While not at work Michelle enjoys running, reading and being with her family. She also enjoys a challenge and back in June 2014 took part in the Warrior Challenge, raising over £1000 for charity.

Russell is an experienced Project Manager working mainly across Affordable Housing providing the role of both Project Manager and Employer Agent for both Registered Providers and Local Authorities. His ability to manage stakeholders, organise teams and communicate effectively is key to ensuring schemes achieve delivery on time and within budget. Since joining Identity Consult Russell has also begun working within the Education sector for a large not-for-profit multi-academy trust providing a Programme Manager role to deliver Capital Projects

History

Russell joined Identity Consult in October 2021 having worked as a Project Manager within the Development team for Together Housing for the previous 3 years. Russell graduated with a BSc Hons in Building Surveying in the Summer of 2021.

Simon has extensive experience delivering commissions across a wide range of sectors from inception to completion. These include projects in the residential and education sectors ranging from complex multi-disciplinary new build projects with budgets of up to £30 million to small scale refurbishment schemes. As an Employer’s Agent, Quantity Surveyor and Project Manager Simon enjoys the challenges and the variety that both of these roles offer. Simon is currently working on a number of high profile projects for Registered Providers and Higher Education clients.

History

Simon joined Identity Consult in August 2013 after graduating from the University of Central Lancashire with a BSc (Hons) in Quantity Surveying and Commercial Management and has worked in Identity Consult’s Preston office since it’s opening in 2013.

Tim has been working on residential, health care and education projects with a keen interest to explore other areas. Tim’s role consists of a variety of responsibilities including assisting the Cost Management and Quantity Surveying teams.

History

Tim joined Identity Consult in February 2022 after spending 6 years teaching Physical Education in primary schools across the North West. Tim has always had an interest in construction, particularly the process of how an idea comes to life and so decided to pursue this new career path.

History

Amy joined Identity Consult in June 2022 having recently graduated from York St John University with a Masters in Project Management. Amy joins Identity Consult following a career move from Sky, where she worked for 10 years as a Customer Experience Consultant across their on and offshore partner sites.

Andrew joined Identity Consult in 2013 as an Associate and has worked his way up through the business, now forming part of the Board.

Andy is an experienced Cost Manager with extensive and wide ranging experience both within the public and private sectors. Andy has delivered schemes from inception to completion, across a wide range of projects, with specific recent experience in the Higher Education and Housing Sectors. Andy’s expertise extends to multi-phased, new build and refurbishment projects working in or around live buildings / estates and the knowledge to understand the cost implications of this. Andy has historical Main Contactor experience, which, aligned with his commercial consultancy knowledge and understanding of design allows key cost risks to be identified early. Andy will actively challenge all members of the project team to ensure value for money and will take a proactive approach to cost management to ensure the right outcome for his Clients.

Andy joined Identity Consult in 2006 after previously working for Barnfield Construction as a Quantity Surveyor / Development Surveyor where Andy delivered projects in the Higher Education, Retail, Housing, Commercial and Industrial sectors.

Beverley is the Office Manager for our Sunderland based practice, PA to Directors and also Finance Manager for Identity Consult.

History

Beverley joined Identity Consult in 2005 after previously working for Tarmac Northern as the Chief Accountant’s executive PA and supporting his Finance Team. Previously to that Beverley worked as PA to the Operations Director and also offered support to the Finance team at BHD Building Products.

Chris is a Quantity Surveyor and is part of the Cost Management team based in our Sunderland Office. Since joining Identity Consult Chris has been involved with project delivery of several key projects within the Higher Education, Blue Light, Housing and Local Authority sectors.

History

Chris joined Identity Consult in September 2021 having spent the previous 20+ years within the industry and most recently working for Turner & Townsend and Steel River Cost and Project Management Ltd in the Tees Valley. Chris was also involved in the ITT Process for the Phase 1 elements of the Main Works Civils Contracts for HS2. Chris’ experience extends through all aspects of cost control of capital projects from early feasibility stages through procurement, commercial management, and project handover and close out. Chris has extensive experience across a wide range of sectors including, but not limited to Blue Light, Rail, Industry and Manufacturing, Higher/Further Education, Health, Sports & Leisure, Heritage and Commercial. Chris has experience in utilising electronic measurement from both 2D and 3D sources.

Christopher recently graduated with a BSc in Quantity Surveyor with 2nd class honours (upper division) at Northumbria University. Christopher is currently undertaking assistant cost management duties for Identity Consult. Christopher completed an industry placement year as part of his studies where he undertook a variety of different roles including PM, QS and site manager duties on refurbishment schemes around the North East with a local property development company.

History

Christopher joined Identity Consult in April 2021 following months of volunteering at a local COVID-19 vaccination clinic. Christopher left college following his AS Level results and ended up in an apprenticeship at a property developer within the Northeast working towards a Level 3 NVQ in Construction and the Built Environment at Newcastle College. Following this Christopher signed up to Northumbria University to complete a Foundation Built Environment degree eventually progressing along the route of Quantity Surveying.

Christopher is currently progressing with his RICS APC application to become a MRICS accredited surveyor.

Personal

Christopher is a huge fan of football, and has held a Newcastle United season ticket for 11 years. Christopher also enjoys playing tennis and is often mistaken for Rafael Nadal. When Christopher isn’t playing tennis or watching football he spends his time with family.

Claire joined Identity Consult in November 2021 to offer temporary support to the finance department due to the speed in which Identity Consult was growing. Claire is now a permanent member of the team and oversees the banking and finance for IC Planning, whilst continuing to support the Finance and Officer Manager. Having experience in Health & Safety in her previous role, Claire now supports the Identity Consult team in ensuring Policies and documentation are kept up to date and appropriate.

History

Claire has a background in childcare and was Deputy manager of a children’s day nursery and worked in the industry for 20 years. Upon leaving her role as Deputy manager, Claire started a Degree in Social Care.

Personal

In her personal time Claire enjoys spending time with her family, ensuring they are always happy. Claire’s current role allows flexible hours to suit her family’s needs and gives a good work life balance.

Clemence is now learning and developing herself in the Consulting side of Surveying, while preparing for her APC to become chartered by 2025. She is working across different sectors, including Housing and Commercial. With strong beliefs and care for the environment and the people around her, she also supports IC’s Social value and Sustainability group.

History

Clemence started her career in hospitality management working in many different positions all over Europe. She changed her career path by taking her master’s degree in real estate (international) at Northumbria University, where she discovered about quantity surveying.

She Joined Identity Consult in August 2022, after previously working during three years for Skarkey and Sons, main contractor based in Scotland, where she helped developed a range of commercial property, from five stars hotel, grade A offices and Leisure centre.

Personal

Outside of work Clemence manages her Ceramic activity and supports her family business in wine. She loves spending time outdoors doing trekking, surfing, skiing, and horse riding. Always carrying a book and listening to music, you might pin her down with an art gallery or a homemade meal.

Dan recently joined the Project Management team at Identity Consult and will be assisting on large residential and healthcare schemes bringing 8 years of property and construction industry experience to the team.

History

Before joining Identity Consult Dan worked for several playground and landscaping companies as a Project Manager delivering over 100 projects across the UK. Having then carried out a series of residential refurbishments and conversions for a private landlord Dan decided to undergo his Masters and gain experience as a surveyor, spending the next 2 years’ in the public sector working as an estates surveyor for a local authority.

Whilst working full time Dan completed his Master Degree in Real Estate Surveying, achieving a distinction. Dan is now registered to complete his RICS APC and is aiming to become a Chartered Surveyor in the near future.

Personal

Dan enjoys staying active and is a keen cyclist and occasional climber and surfer when he gets the chance. Apart from staying active Dan is a huge music fan, getting to as many gigs as he can. Dan also loves spending time with his family and going for long walks with his partner Laura and their lovely dog Mollie.

Emily is currently an Assistant Project Manager at Identity Consult with a first class Masters in Construction Project Management. Her educational background has given her a deep understanding of commercial design and construction project processes, and is especially focused on accessibility and sustainability. Emily is organised, charismatic and cultured, with a keen eye for detail. Eager to learn, Emily aims to be a chartered RICS member and regularly attends networking events and hopes to get involved in private development opportunities in the North East.

History

Emily joined Identity Consult in February 2022, holding an MSc in Construction Project Management with BIM as well as a BA(Hons) in Interior Design; prior to that, she studied 3D Design after her A levels. Emily also worked in the hospitality and social care sectors before graduating, her experience allows her to bring a variety of transferable skills to the Project Management team.

Emily is a Northumbria University Alumni and has worked previously with NAWIC (National Association of Women in Construction) who she aims to do more with in the future.

Personal

As a nature lover, Emily is vegetarian and spends her spare time doing fun outdoor activities such as walking, climbing and travelling. She’s a great cook and is incredibly passionate about creative subjects such as music, photography, illustration and poetry; often getting involved with spoken word events in Newcastle upon Tyne.

Erin, a recent Master of Planning graduate from Newcastle University, joined the Planning team and is currently working on a variety projects.

History

Erin started working at Identity Consult Planning in September 2023 following her Master’s degree. Erin has previous Local Planning Authority experience at Edinburgh City Council.

Erin is currently working towards her APC to become a chartered planner with the Royal Town Planning Institute.

Ethan recently joined the Quantity Surveying team at Identity Consult, following completing his A levels and a year at Sunderland University studying financial management with economics. He will be assisting on large residential, healthcare and higher educational schemes. Ethan is now working towards achieving a degree in quantity surveying part time, whilst gaining practical skills at work.

History

Ethan joined Identity Consult in August 2018 after obtaining his A levels and spending a year at Sunderland University studying financial management with economics. Ethan decided the apprenticeship route provides more practical application of skills as well as better career prospects.

Personal

In his personal time, Ethan enjoys going out to see live music with friends and spending time with his family – especially playing snooker with his Grandad every week.

Gemma is a recent graduate from Northumbria University where she achieved a First Class Honours Degree in Quantity Surveying. She is now working as part of the Project Management team and assisting the Quantity Surveying team where her main focus will be on housing.

History

Gemma joined Identity Consult in June 2021 straight after completing her Quantity Surveying degree at Northumbria University. She moved over to the UK from South Africa in 2013 and was so awed by all the incredible buildings that she decided to pursue a career in construction.

In her personal time, Gemma dabbles in gaming, gardening, and DIY but her main passion is for cooking where she enjoys developing and adapting recipes.

Greg has over 15 years of experience working in the construction industry and since joining Identity Consult in 2018 has continued to work across a number of different sectors including Higher Education, Local Authority, Health and Commercial, leading a variety of different project in size and complexity. Greg also has experience in the Housing Sector delivering Traditional Construction as well as Volumetric Construction and homes utilising Sustainable Technologies.

Alongside his project work at Identity Consult Greg is an APC Councillor and Supervisor and also sits within a number of different sector groups adding value into overseeing current and future projects.

History

Greg hails from an ‘on the tools’ background having worked as a Contractor for several years before undertaking his BSc (Hons) in Real Estate. Greg then worked for a leading retail surveying practice in the North East before making the move back to the construction industry.

Greg is a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and is a NEC4 Accredited Project Manager.

Personal

Greg has now hung up the rugby boots which has freed up more time to concentrate on his golf – not that the additional time has improved his scores!

James joined Identity Consult at the beginning of 2022 hoping to broaden his project exposure and challenge himself. James is currently working on a variety of interesting and challenging projects across the residential and higher education sectors incorporating BIM and sustainability, both of which are of personal interest to him.

History

Before James joined Identity Consult, he worked for independent developers as a freelance Project Manager, working on a variety of projects from housing to student accommodation. During this period James was also managing his families’ development company, at which he successfully managed and delivered a number of executive level housing schemes from inception through to post occupation, meeting potential buyers such as Allen Shearer, Jonjo Shelvey and Chris Ramsey he notes as highlights during this time.

Affiliations

While working freelance James embarked on a Masters Degree in Construction Project Management with BIM at Northumbria University, with the ultimate goal of supporting an expediated route to Chartership. In 2022 James successfully achieved a distinction in this course, adding to his previous Masters in Physics, and has now embarked on his RICS APC, with an aspiration to be charted by the end of 2023.

Personal

James describes himself as a keen golfer (hit and miss), triathlete (of limited capability), skier (when uninjured) and rugby fan (reminiscing over years as a player) . He is likely to be found exploring the Northumberland coast or beaches of Tynemouth on a weekend with his wife. In August of 2022 James also embarked on a slightly different journey, that of marriage, which after 2 years of planning he says seems to have flown by.

Kathrine is part of the Business Support Team based in our Sunderland office, her knowledge and experience helps provide effective support for Directors, colleagues and team members throughout all our offices. Her calm and friendly manner help to maintain a positive work environment, supporting the culture and values of our company.

History

Kathrine joined Identity Consult in August 2019 after previously working for over 20 years in an educational setting for students with severe learning difficulties and profound and complex medical conditions. She undertook various Business Support roles throughout her career ranging from Office Manager to Governance Support and Development.

Kathrine’s free time is wonderfully monopolised by her five children, she enjoys camping, live music, walking, swimming and having the odd adventure with extended family and friends.

Kayleigh works across several different areas of project management with more notable experience working on projects in Education, Local Government, Regeneration, Mixed Use Development as well as the Arts/ Heritage sector. She also has experience working in local government as the client project manager to support regeneration and economic growth projects. Alongside her project management and contract administrator role, Kayleigh assists with delivery of post occupancy evaluations and provides internal support to Identity Consult for marketing and bid opportunity activities. Her previous experience of working both in the public and private sector enables her to manage complex stakeholders in multi-disciplinary environments to meet client objectives and key grant funding stipulations.

History

Kayleigh joined Identity Consult in July 2018 after working for Turner & Townsend in Leeds. This involved primarily delivering Heritage Lottery Fund and Arts Council England grant funded projects within the arts and heritage sector but she also worked on secondment at Yorkshire Water within the Health and Safety. Prior to project management Kayleigh worked as a museum’s conservator in various different institutions across the UK and abroad. History

While born in the UK, Layla grew up in the Middle East and later moved to Australia. In Australia Layla was employed by a local construction company, which ultimately sparked her interest in pursuing a career in Quantity Surveying. Layla joined Identity Consult’s Cost Management Team in 2019 after graduating from Northumbria University with a first class BSc in Quantity Surveying. Layla opted to complete an industry placement as part of her studies where she gained a wide range of experiences with a local Main Contracting organisation.

Mark is a Chartered Quantity Surveyor and leads our Employer’s Agent and Cost Management team based in the Sunderland Office. He is experienced in the delivery of new build and refurbishment projects across both Public and Private sectors ranging in value from £100,00 to £80M, under both JCT and NEC Forms of Contract. He has previously operated as a Project Manager and has worked on the Contracting side, enabling him to draw upon these experiences when dealing with complex project issues, commercial matters and selecting the right procurement strategy to suit particular project requirements. Mark also plays a lead role in our training and development, helping staff achieve their ambitions of becoming MRICS qualified.

History

Mark joined Identity Consult as an Associate Director in 2018 from Gardiner & Theobald where he spend almost 20 years progressing from Graduate to Senior Associate. In 2019 Mark was promoted to Director and joined the Identity Consult Board of Directors.

History

Previously a teacher, holding the post of Head of Computing & Business, Mat is studying his MSc Quantity Surveying at Northumbria University. During his time teaching he progressed quickly into middle management and developed into a successful leader with a track record of achieving results. Prior to teaching Mat was Vice President Finance & Commercial Services at Northumbria Students’ Union responsible for business performance and commercial strategy.

Nigel joined the Identity Consult team 2021 and brings over 25 years’ experience working within the housing, regeneration & placemaking sector. With a wealth of knowledge in securing & delivering often complex mixed use, brownfield housing projects across the UK. He is the Local Authority Lead for the company and has successfully delivered a range of complex multi-stakeholder projects for various Councils, ranging from public realm projects through to new cinemas and leisure facilities.  From his previous roles, he also has expertise in housing development and regeneration and brings these skills together to manage the development of deliverable and commercially viable masterplans for Clients.

History

Pete joined Identity Consult in 2008 from Erimus Housing where he led the Development Team and prior to that worked for Sunderland’s regeneration agency, Sunderland arc. These roles mean Pete has wide ranging Client-side Project Management and Development Management expertise which he can use to provide additional support to Clients.

Peter is based in our Sunderland Office and is a member of the Quantity Surveying team. During Peter’s time at Identity Consult, he has been involved in a wide range of projects including university refurbishment schemes, new build apartment complexes and urban regeneration throughout the North and the rest of the UK. Peter provides both Employer’s Agent and Quantity Surveying services for his clients.

History

Peter joined Identity Consult in July 2019 after previously working for Turner & Townsend in Teesside. This primarily involved delivering heritage refurbishment projects for Durham University in and around the Durham Cathedral and Castle UNESCO World Heritage Site. Peter also worked on secondment at Nissan Motor Manufacturing UK, as sole Cost Manager responsible for all construction works being undertaken on the Sunderland Plant. He oversaw the successful delivery of the £6m refurbishment of the existing XL Press machine and the £400k extension to the Body Shop. Another of Peter’s secondments was at AstraZeneca’s New World Headquarters in Cambridge where he was agreeing historic M&E packages.

Pippa delivers schemes both pre and post contract for Higher Education, Local Authority and Residential clients and provides Post Occupancy Evaluation services for Higher Education clients across the North of England and Yorkshire. Pippa is a member of IC’s Social Value working group and leads Identity Consult’s Charity of the Year initiative, organising various fundraising events each year.

History

Pippa joined Identity Consult in 2019 after relocating from Central London where she worked for multinational construction consultancies. Pippa gained multi-sector project management experience across the delivery of landmark heritage buildings, high end hotels, education facilities, airport development and zoo conservation programmes. Inspired by her father’s exciting and long-standing career in development, Pippa joined the construction industry in 2014 and graduated with a BSc (Hons) Building Surveying from University College of Estate Management.

Richard has the benefit of professional experience in both the public and private sector, having started his career at a Local Planning Authority before working at a senior level for a national developer. Sam started his career career working as an in house planner for a development company specialising on property, energy , waste and mining project. Hayley joined Identity Consult in October 2024 as Office Manager and Bid coordinator, and she is part of the Business Infrastructure Team.
Hayley has extensive experience as a senior NHS administrator, executive PA, and team manager. She has also provided project support to multiple NHS contracts.
In her role at IC, Hayley will assist the directors and the wider team, whilst also managing the end-to-end process of preparing and submitting bids or proposals for new business
opportunities. She will also undertake the office manager role for the North West teams.

With over 15 years of experience providing high-level administrative support to senior managers and consultants in the NHS, Hayley brings a wealth of knowledge in office

Holly first joined Identity Consult in January 2024 on a work placement whilst attending college, but officially joined the company as an apprentice in September 2024. Holly has previously studied Construction and the Built Environment Level 3 at SCC City Skills. Holly has always had an interest in construction, inspired by her grandfather.

Justas has started his career as a junior setting out engineer. Through his hard work and dedication, he quickly moved up the ranks and became an assistant setting out engineer. Justas has worked on a wide variety of projects in different sectors, including education and residential developments.

Justas is a huge supporter of Manchester United, and loves watching their games whenever he can. Harris is a 1^st Class Graduate Quantity Surveyor with previous experience in commercial office fit-out projects and is a property development enthusiast. Harris joined Identity Consult with the motivation and drive to deliver successful projects across the region, and hopes to expand his knowledge and experience within the industry with the aim of becoming Chartered in the near future.

History

Harris has previously worked as a Building Surveyor and has previous experience in a number of roles. Harris also has a keen eye for spotting sites with development potential having previously appraised potential development opportunities.

Personal

Harris enjoys watching live sports, keeping fit, and catching up with family and friends. Outside of sports, Harris enjoys learning new things and exposing himself to new information and ideas which can help to accelerate his career and provide benefit in the future.

Hassan has been working on projects in the residential, education and health sectors with a keen interest to explore other areas. His roles consist of many responsibilities including assisting the Cost Management team. Hassan is currently studying towards a BSc (Hons) in Quantity Surveying at Leeds Becket University while also gaining valuable experience at the company which will help towards his degree.

History

Hassan joined Identity Consult in June 2023 as an Intern after completing his second year in Quantity Surveying.

Jen is a Senior Consultant carrying out Quantity Surveying and Employer’s Agent work for Identity Consult. Her chartered status, along with her experience of various industries allow her to offer a range of surveying of services on new build and refurbishment projects, from inception to completion. Jen’s background of working for both client organisations and private surveying practices gives her experience of differing perspectives within the design team.

History

Jen joined Identity Consult in December 2022 after working for a small Capital Allowances consultancy service and, prior to that, a Registered Housing Provider. Jen worked for private surveying practices between 1993 and 2004

Jen has been a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors since 2003.

Personal

Jen enjoys running (or walking!) in the hills of the Lake District and road biking just about anywhere, preferably on a warm sunny day, which are few and far between when you live in the middle of the Yorkshire Dales. She has also recently taken up paddle boarding, but is yet to put her winter-weight wet suit to the test in icy water.

Kate is an experienced quality and compliance manager. Having worked in various areas including Construction, Education and Health, Kate has a wealth of skills and knowledge of quality management, occupational health and safety, and process improvement. Kate’s work includes ensuring our processes and procedures are regularly reviewed, actions for improvement are implemented and that we continue to be compliant with our company accreditations.

History

Kate joined Identity Consult in January 2022 after working as the Business Quality Lead & Business Support for UK NEQAS, a service providing external quality assurance and education for pathology laboratories across the UK and Internationally. Prior to this, Kate has had roles working as the Quality Lead & Complaints Manager for a large department within Leeds Teaching Hospitals Trust, Personal Assistant to the Deputy Director of Quality at University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire, where she also acted as an out of hours and additional PALS Officer.

Personal

Outside of work, Kate plays in a Brass Band. Whilst this takes up a number of evenings a week, Kate always finds time to walk her two dogs, Kenny and Oscar, and explore the country with her husband in their campervan.

Mark is the Director heading up our York Office with responsibility for leading our ambitious plans for expansion and growth in the Yorkshire and Humber region.

History

After over 30 years with Faithful+Gould, Mark joined Identity Consult in February 2020. During his career Mark has gained extensive experience in cost, programme and project management across sectors including education, health, financial retail, industry, manufacturing and logistics. He has considerable public sector framework experience including the management and procurement of both internal and external multi-disciplinary design teams.

Personal

Mark is a keen golfer and, being a former drummer, loves live music and wading through mud at festivals.

Mark is the Managing Director of Identity Consult but maintains a hands on approach to project delivery. Mark is an Employer’s Agent, Project Manager and Cost Manager by background with extensive experience across a range of sectors including residential, higher education, health and commercial.

History

Mark joined Identity Consult when the company was formed in 2006, having previously worked for Faithful & Gould. Mark was appointed to the Board of Directors in 2009 and led the Management Buy Out in 2018 to be appointed as our new Managing Director.

Mark is a North East Regional Board Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and a NEC 4 accredited Project Manager.

Personal

In his personal time, Mark enjoys coaching junior cricket at Ryton CC, playing golf, attending music gigs and spending time with his family.

Mark is an experienced Project Manager, Employer’s Agent and Cost Consultant, specialising in affordable housing, private housing and development consultancy. During Mark’s time at Identity Consult, Mark has been involved in a number of key housing and regeneration projects throughout the North and the rest of the UK. Mark takes personal satisfaction in seeing a project through to its completion, from being involved in the initial concept stage to delivery and having the ability to experience the evidence of his contribution in the form of a final product. Mark believes Winston Churchill put it best when he said “we shape our buildings, thereafter they shape us.”

History

Mark joined Identity Consult at the end of 2010, after having spent time working in China.

Mark is a Chartered Quantity Surveyor and leads our Employer’s Agent and Cost Management team based in the Sunderland Office. He is experienced in the delivery of new build and refurbishment projects across both Public and Private sectors ranging in value from £100,00 to £80M, under both JCT and NEC Forms of Contract. He has previously operated as a Project Manager and has worked on the Contracting side, enabling him to draw upon these experiences when dealing with complex project issues, commercial matters and selecting the right procurement strategy to suit particular project requirements. Mark also plays a lead role in our training and development, helping staff achieve their ambitions of becoming MRICS qualified.

History

Mark joined Identity Consult as an Associate Director in 2018 from Gardiner & Theobald where he spend almost 20 years progressing from Graduate to Senior Associate. In 2019 Mark was promoted to Director and joined the Identity Consult Board of Directors.

Outside of work Mark is a keen golfer and member of Seaton Carew links Golf Club. He also enjoys spending time with his young family, which includes regular camping and caravanning trips throughout the year, in addition to walking his trusted dog Gelert!

Pete is a hands-on Project Manager and Development Consultant and works across all of Identity Consult’s regions. He is the Local Authority Lead for the company and has successfully delivered a range of complex multi-stakeholder projects for various Councils, ranging from public realm projects through to new cinemas and leisure facilities.  From his previous roles, he also has expertise in housing development and regeneration and brings these skills together to manage the development of deliverable and commercially viable masterplans for Clients.

History

Pete joined Identity Consult in 2008 from Erimus Housing where he led the Development Team and prior to that worked for Sunderland’s regeneration agency, Sunderland arc. These roles mean Pete has wide ranging Client-side Project Management and Development Management expertise which he can use to provide additional support to Clients.

Personal

Outside of the office, Pete is a keen football fan. He holds a season ticket for Sunderland, but the side closest to his heart is Liverpool (but don’t tell his wife that!).

Whilst based in the York office Sarah is involved with numerous projects across the north of England for Universities, Healthcare Trusts and Councils managing refurbishment and new build schemes. With over 20 years in the industry Sarah can bring a breadth of knowledge and experience and a proactive and detailed approach to any scheme.

History

Sarah joined Identity Consult in early 2023 after working as a Capital Design Project Manager for Harrogate & District Foundation Trust where she gained vast knowledge in the Healthcare sector. Sarah’s qualified as a Chartered Architect and worked for a London Practice for 15 years designing and delivering residential, retail, heritage, regeneration and master planning schemes before moving to Yorkshire.

When she’s not ferrying her 2 boys around from one sporting activity to the next Sarah enjoys family holidays walking, surfing and paddleboarding or skiing in the Alps.

Tom is an experienced cost consultant and employer’s agent, who enjoys the challenges of complex projects by providing a proactive and collaborative approach, actively managing risk and implementing best practice. He works to understand his client’s business from the outset to deliver tailored services. Tom has a commitment to developing the upcoming talent in the industry, carrying out an external examiner role for Leeds Beckett University’s MSc course in quantity surveying and actively engaging in chartership mentor programmes.

History

Tom joined Identity Consult in 2020 having previously worked for two large global consultancies. He brings 13 years of experience to our team, having delivered complex projects of varying sizes and value in the public sector including healthcare, education, regeneration and heritage, and in private sector commercial offices and fit-out.

Tom is a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and is an accredited NEC4 Project Manager.

Personal

Away from the office, Tom keeps fit being chased after by his two young children and, when time allows, is a keen cyclist, hiker and photographer, particularly while travelling.
