Our People

Our experience of delivering POE commissions across scientific, research, business schools, library and accommodation projects makes us ideally placed to hit the ground running in capturing key lessons and informing future best practice on behalf of our University clients.

Our highly experienced team have delivered best practice events in relation to POE and capturing lessons learned across the UK and are ready to hit the ground running.

Our Approach

Our methodology comprises the following seven step approach:

Desktop Review - During the capturing phase, Identity Consult will undertake a desktop review of key project documentation. The purpose of this review is to benchmark the standard of project documentation against good practice in the sector and provide a gap analysis.

Observation - We observe the space in use to examine user preferences and behaviours. Within this step we collect evidence in relation to aspects of building functionality including acoustic performance, noise, light levels and air quality.

Questionnaires - Questionnaires will be issued in line with the AUDE/ HEFCE/ University of Westminster POE toolkit and are tailored to suit the requirements of consultants, contractors, University stakeholders and students.

Interviewing - A number of one to one interviews will be undertaken with the project team and key representatives on the project.

Workshops – We facilitate workshops with project stakeholders to obtain their feedback on all areas of the project. The findings of the facilitated discussion are included within our report.

Benchmarking – Benchmarking exercises are undertaken in relation to sustainability measures, space utilisation, cost and programme performance.

Sharing – We publish our findings, with recommendations in the form of a report and a presentation to key stakeholders. The audience of the presentation will be agreed with the client. We also include an Executive Summary with a RAG rating of the key findings.

We understand that client’s requirements are different in every organisation and we will flexible in adopting our methods to suit your needs, rather than adopting a one size fits all approach.
