Calico Schemes

Description

Identity Consult was appointed in late 2017 by Calico Homes to provide Employers Agent services for a 33 unit scheme in Burnley, Lancashire. Since this initial appointment we have built a great relationship with Calico, going on to be appointed on a further 3 schemes, delivering 50+ homes across another 3 sites. We have also supported the client in developing standard house types, warranties and appointment documents to allow sites to progress quickly.

Over the past 3 years we have delivered nearly 90 new homes comprising 2 and 3 bedroom houses, along with 10 bungalows , providing much needed affordable housing for local people. Social value and in particular delivering jobs for local people has also been a important feature of these schemes.

The wider design team consisted of Bernard Taylor – Architects, Alan Johnson Partnerships – Structural Engineers and in-house construction Ringstones Construction – Main Contractor.

The projects were delivered under a JCT Design and Build 2016 or Prime Cost Contract to reflect the partnership nature of the projects with the contractor being an in-house resource.
