We’re proud to have successfully delivered another landmark residential project, helping to accelerate the growth of affordable housing in Yorkshire.
Our Yorkshire team, based in York, worked in partnership with Vico Homes – one of the UK’s largest social housing providers – to deliver the transformative Saxton Heights development in the heart of Leeds city centre.
The £42 million scheme has brought 207 much-needed affordable homes to the city, providing a mix of one- to four-bedroom apartments across 20 storeys. Every home is available for affordable rent, helping to meet the growing demand for quality housing in Leeds.
Saxton Heights represents another significant milestone for our growing residential portfolio. Over the past year alone, we’ve contributed to the delivery of more than 1,600 homes across the UK, supporting clients to bring forward high-quality residential developments.

Pete Johnson, Senior Director at Identity Consult, said:
“Delivering high-quality affordable housing is central to our mission at Identity Consult.
It is particularly rewarding to see this project delivered as the site was a stalled Build to Rent scheme that we introduced to Vico Homes, who were keen to bring a different affordable housing offer to Leeds city centre. Through close working between Identity Consult, Vico Homes and their solicitors, we were able to acquire the land and sign up a construction contract in just five months – a process that could typically take 12 months or more.”
The development was made possible through £1.2 million of investment from the West Yorkshire Combined Authority, with additional funding from Homes England. The scheme also received the support of Tracy Brabin, Mayor of West Yorkshire.
Joel Owen, Director of Development and Growth at Vico Homes, said:
“We’ve got ambitious plans to deliver 10,000 new homes over the next ten years and we’re growing fast. Saxton Heights is our biggest project yet and we’ve made it happen through strong partnerships. It isn’t just a new building, it’s 207 affordable homes right in the heart of the city that people in Leeds need.”
As we continue to expand our residential portfolio, projects like Saxton Heights demonstrate the value of collaboration in delivering lasting social impact. Working alongside trusted partners, we’re proud to help create communities where people can access safe, high-quality and affordable homes.
