Following the news that our Managing Director, David Dent, suffered a stroke in January, the team at Identity Consult were inspired to sign up and take on the Stroke Association’s Resolution Run in order to increase awareness and raise vital funds for the charity.

The run took place on Sunday 26th February at Leazes Park, Newcastle Upon Tyne with Identity Consult putting out an 11-strong team. Regular runners Mark Doherty, Pete Johnson, Malcolm Churchill, Andrew Milnes, Alistair Henderson, Gavin McMullan, Adam Gibson and Freddie Hebdon successfully completed the 10k run with Charlotte Paul, Alex Laws and Claire Smith stepping up to the plate and successfully completing their first ever 5k run.

A number of family members of the Identity Consult team offered much needed support and encouragement on the day, helping to push all of the team over the line, which was needed by some more than others. Gavin’s partner, Sarah, went one better, participating in the race and literally carrying Gavin over the finish line!

Thanks to your generous donations, the team smashed the target of £500, raising £1,220. We would like to take the opportunity to thank everyone for your support and generous donations.

The Stroke Association will be Identity Consult’s charity of year for 2017. The team will continue to undertake further activities and challenges throughout the year with the hope of further adding to this already amazing total.

We are pleased to say that David is making a very good recovery from his stroke and we look forward to welcoming him back into the business soon.
