Description

Prior to Identity Consult and the wider team’s appointment the project had come to a crossroad and was not progressing as the occupiers had hoped. Along with the wider team Identity Consult obtained planning consent within 3 months’ and successfully achieved practical completion 12 months thereafter.

The project delivered an 8-bedroom facility all with ensuite bathrooms, with a communal kitchen and communal living space. The Oxford House concept encourages collaborative living with piers; therefore, the communal areas were created in a way to promote this.

Knowing the client was working within a tight budget and timescale, Identity Consult developed a robust programme and provided regular cost analysis as the design developed. With pro-active management of the design process, the planning application was submitted ahead of programme, clawing back some time for the client.Identity Consult managed the procurement process inviting local contractors from the Tees-Valley area, to continue to retain work within the local area. The smooth process generated a good level of returns, leading successfully on site in July 2019.

The project was delivered to a high standard, on time and under budget.
