Description

Identity Consult provided l internal project management support to the Place Investment and Regeneration Team at Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council. This involved supporting on a number of schemes in the public realm and the industrial estates improvement works as well as Northern Gas Network’s (H21) Hydrogen Gas Domestic Pipe Trials project (https://www.h21.green). Many of these projects involved working across the teams at Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council such as Highways, Business Growth, Planning and Asset Management, to progress the projects from development stage ready for delivery on site.

A key component of this work included preparation and submission of various papers such as Business Case documents for internal project approval, as well as preparation of formal Cabinet Reports for Local Authority approval. As part of the Longbeck Industrial Estate project progression, support was given to undertake due diligence and engage with the relevant businesses to formalise establishment of a Business Improvement District to look after the long term maintenance requirements of the privately owned road assets.

Many of the projects involved community consultation and engagement with primary and secondary stakeholders for the respective areas. This also involved working with Ward Councillors and those with a vested interest in the projects from the wider council teams prior to issuing formal correspondence to primary stakeholders. To support the Northern Gas Network Trial Project a serious of social value projects were identified through this type of consultation in order to provide a series of viable initiatives which could be voted on by the local community.
