King Edward Square Accommodation POE, Teesside University (£2m)
The King Edward’s Square accommodation project provided a full upgrade across two phases to this terraced accommodation in the University’s central campus. The reconfigured and upgraded facilities provided en-suite bedrooms and improved kitchen and social space facilities. The project was delivered in challenging timescales to ensure occupation in time for the start of the new academic year
Printworks Building Refurbishment POE, Teesside University (£3.5m)
The acquisition of the Printworks building provided the University with the opportunity to consolidate all professional services in a Central Hub. The building houses all business support functions across the Resources Directorate and through open plan offices and use of flexible spaces has engendered, thus promoting collaborative working.
National Horizons Centre POE, Teesside University (£22m)
The National Horizons Centre is a new £22m biological research, teaching and training facility, which aims to address the growth needs of the emerging bio-based industries set to transform the UK economy, including biologics, industrial biotechnology and bio-pharmaceuticals. The Centre is located at Darlington’s Central Park alongside the new National Biologics Manufacturing Centre and Teesside University’s Centre for Professional and Executive Development.
Business School Refurbishment POE, Teesside University (£7.5m)
Teesside University invested £7.5m to refurbish the Student Centre to provide a modern and flexible new home for the growing Teesside University Business School. Equipped with the latest fully technologically-enabled facilities, this contemporary new teaching and learning space includes syndicate rooms and collaborative work zones to enable collaboration between staff, students and businesses.
Library Refurbishment POE, Teesside University (£7m)
This £7m investment provided an upgrade and enhancement to the existing facilities. The completed refurbishment provided much improved flexible, technology enabled individual and group learning spaces. The new facilities provide students with an improved environment, maximizing natural light through the installation of roof lights and opening up the floors to provide an impressive atrium.
