Description

Identity Consult were appointed to provide Project Management and Cost Management services for the conversion of the existing Old Fire Station to create a multi-cultural facility comprising a bar and restaurant, café, Dance City studio space, theatre, heritage and exhibition space.

Delivered for The MAC Trust the commission forms the second phase of their regeneration proposals to create a “Cultural Quarter.” The design has been carefully considered to incorporate a walk through link which helps to connect the city centre to the Vaux site. Works include part demolition, new build, retention of the original façade and renovation, with funding being provided by The Heritage Lottery Fund and The MAC Trust.

The commission involved a full range of both pre and post contract Project Management and Cost Management services including supporting the client with regards to Funding Applications and reporting to the Heritage Lottery Fund. The Contractor was procured via a Two Stage Tender process from a select tender list and the main works were completed in October 2017.
