Identity Consult’s recently opened North West office has reached an important milestone with its first Higher Education project in the North West hitting site.
The Collaborative Technology Access Programme (CTAP) Building (above), which is being is being delivered on behalf of Lancaster University, started on site in October 2014 following a fast track pre-commencement programme that had to be achieved in order to meet the requirements of the ERDF programme which is funding the scheme.
Identity Consult is acting as Project Manager for the scheme which will provide additional research and development laboratories for use by the private sector to allow integration and collaboration with the university. Companies occupying the building will focus on product and process innovation and chemical risk assessment.
Identity Consult has extensive experience in the higher education section as both Project Managers and Cost Consultants having delivered in excess of £40m of projects from its North East office in the past five years.
This expertise is now being shared with the North West office which is currently project managing two further schemes on behalf of Lancaster University, one of which will deliver additional student accommodation.
Identity Consult Managing Director, David Dent said: “We are delighted to be able to use our experience and expertise in the Higher Education sector to support the establishment and growth of our North West business and also to support Lancaster University in the delivery of their investment programme.
“The programme for CTAP has been particularly challenging due to the tight timescales required to secure the funding for the scheme and I am proud of the role that our team played in ensuring this was achieved.
