Work has recently started on the construction of a new development in Shadsworth for Twin Valley Homes.

The scheme will provide a new Community Hub and Enterprise Centre with five shops and community facilities as well as 20 new affordable homes in a deprived area.

Identity Consult’s Jonathan Purcell, acting as Employer’s Agent on the scheme, noted that the project team collaboration has allowed the scheme to proceed in spite of difficult ground conditions and complex logistics, with completion targeted for October 2017.

Kevin Ruth, Together Housing Group Deputy Chief Executive, noted the positive impact of this scheme on the community: “This project is a major boost for Shadsworth. The new businesses will create employment opportunities and help to improve the local economy.

“The new community hub will give people access to services and advice to help them realise their potential, and the new homes will give more families access to quality, affordable housing on one of our most popular estates.

“The plans look fantastic and we all look forward to seeing it take shape.”
